Nekkomori is East Asia regional brand name of 'Kitticraft' in South Africa. The owner and designer Mr.Lawrence Dubowitz gets inspiration from the great African nature for his state-of-art designs. Nekkomori uses the best quality raw material from Queensland, Australia by Laminex for the products.

The story behind Kitticraft

Back in 201, it started with kitten proofing the house, slowly, we had to pace ourselves, but predictably with all the excitement, kitten proofing was completed in a matter of hours. So the next logical thing to do was equip our future child with everything she would possibly need; so off to the local pet supply store we went. After about an hour browsing around, we ended up leaving with the all important accessories: litter box, some random toys and the fluffiest bed in the shop. As would be the case, the bed was also made from the brightest pink material to ever have been created, but it was cute, so it went home with us. Strategically positioned in the house, awaiting its future occupant, the bed sat, and glared. The cute factor was starting to wane, eventually ( quite quickly I must add ) becoming a gaudy eyesore. How could we possibly condemn our sophisticated little baby to the torment of sleeping in a bed which required UV protected sunglasses just to look at? To solve this dilemma, required a trip to another ( or many ) pet supply store, right? Wrong, shop after shop, they all offered similar things, gaudy bright things! There was only one solution, if we were to get modern sophisticated furniture, worthy of a sophisticated baby, we had to make it ourselves. And so KittiCraft was born. The 3 months passed ( not as quickly as we would have liked ), but on the 9th of December 2011, we went to collect our baby Blue Abyssinian kitten, who we named Moon. But wait there’s more! Moon had a Ruddy half-sister 10 days older, who was just too adorable to leave behind, so Kiara came home with us on the same day. Moon and Kiara are now the official KittiCraft Beta Testers, stringently testing each and every design to make sure that its acceptable.
